I have always loved alligators. I grew up in the keys and we had a local one name George. One day someone was feeding him scrapes of fish and George leaped up to get the scrapes and bit a man. The game warden caught him later, tagged him number 95 and transported him up to the Everglades. Within a year he was back in Big pine key . George had navigated over 70 miles to come home…we were all impressed ! I go to an alligator farm in south Florida, unroll the frozen skins, and look for ones that have a good contrasting color. The natural hide colors are preserved and then I cut patterns and glue them on the shoes. My shoe shoe cobbler then sews them to the shoe. I use many different types of Florsheim Black or brown casual or dressy shoes. Each pair has matching color blends. I love the simplicity and nature colors of alligator and Ostrich hide. Hope you do too! Each pair is $450.00
